Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Beauford Delaney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in July 2020. In the Contemporary Art - Day Sale auction, the work Sans Titre - 1960 sold for EUR 104,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beauford Delaney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Baldwin in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,026,000.00 (€ 1,195,278.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Beauford Delaney erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art - Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1960 für EUR 104.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beauford Delaney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James Baldwin im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.000,00 (€ 1.195.278,64).
