Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Scene From The Roman Carnival, Inside An Osteria by Bartolomeo Pinelli was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,920.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartolomeo Pinelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Marcus Furius Camillus liberating Rome from the Gauls (recto); A compositional study of the same subject (verso) in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 55,250.00 (€ 63,407.64).

Die Arbeit A Scene From The Roman Carnival, Inside An Osteria von Bartolomeo Pinelli wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.920,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden.
