Auction result misses estimated price range
In January this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a scholar, three-quarter-length, before a table by Bartolomeo Passarotti for USD 21,420.00 (€ 19,727.39). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Passarotti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a scholar, three-quarter-length, before a table von Bartolomeo Passarotti für USD 21.420,00 (€ 19.727,39) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture Online bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Passarotti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 264.032,50).
