Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of seated woman sleeping by Bartolomeo Passarotti was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 40,320.00 (€ 48,149.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartolomeo Passarotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50).

Die Arbeit Study of seated woman sleeping von Bartolomeo Passarotti wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.320,00 (€ 48.149,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Passarotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 286.000,00 (€ 264.032,50).
