Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ blessing, seated in the clouds by Bartolomeo Passarotti was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Christies in New York in January 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,057.93) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Passarotti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lope Varona Di Villanahue Of Burgos, Half Length With A Book In His Right Hand in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 286,000.00 (€ 264,032.50).

Die Arbeit Christ blessing, seated in the clouds von Bartolomeo Passarotti wurde im Januar 2018 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.057,93) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
