The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,736.56), 34% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartholomeus Molenaer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Classroom Interior, which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 11,250.00.

Die Arbeit Barn interior with peasants preparing a pig carcass von Bartholomeus Molenaer wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Quality in Detail. The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.736,56) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Molenaer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Classroom Interior beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
