Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and Early British Paintings, which included the work A Tavern Scene With Peasants Drinking And Smoking by Bartholomeus Molenaer. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,559.81) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00.
