Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work An Interior Scene With A Group Of Peasants Gathered by Bartholomeus Molenaer. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,500.00 (€ 5,323.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartholomeus Molenaer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Classroom Interior, which sold at auction in May 2009 for EUR 11,250.00.

Im Februar 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interior Scene With A Group Of Peasants Gathered von Bartholomeus Molenaer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.500,00 (€ 5.323,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Molenaer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Classroom Interior beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für EUR 11.250,00 versteigert wurde.
