This artwork by Bartholomeus Breenbergh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2019. In the Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners auction, the work Roman Ruins With Turbaned Figures sold for GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,157.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartholomeus Breenbergh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Classical Landscape With Mercury And Argos in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 102,750.00 (€ 167,320.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bartholomeus Breenbergh erzielte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Online | Part I: Property from the SØR Rusche Collection | Part II: Property from Various Owners wurde die Arbeit Roman Ruins With Turbaned Figures für GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.157,15) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartholomeus Breenbergh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Classical Landscape With Mercury And Argos im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.750,00 (€ 167.320,96).
