Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bartholomeus Breenbergh could be acquired at Christies in New York in January this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Medici: Masterpieces from a New York Collection auction, the work Allegory Of Vanity changed hands for USD 69,300.00 (€ 63,823.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bartholomeus Breenbergh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Classical Landscape With Mercury And Argos, which sold at auction in July 2001 for GBP 102,750.00 (€ 167,320.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
