Sold at the upper estimate price
In February 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's 100, which included the work The Beating by Barnaby Furnas. The auction ended at the price of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,721.09), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barnaby Furnas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hamburger Hill in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 422,500.00 (€ 293,892.60).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's 100 durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Beating von Barnaby Furnas zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.721,09) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barnaby Furnas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hamburger Hill im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 422.500,00 (€ 293.892,60).
