Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work A wooded landscape by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 52,184.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A wooded landscape von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 52.184,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
