Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Op weg naar de markt: A wooded landscape with travellers on their way to the market by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek for USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,538.20). This price was achieved in the auction European Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Op weg naar de markt: A wooded landscape with travellers on their way to the market von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek für USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.538,20) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion European Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
