In July 2020 Christies in London held the auction British & European Art, which included the work A winter’s day by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,828.39), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barend Cornelis Koekkoek achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town in April 2006 with an auction result of EUR 1,412,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A winter’s day von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 41.828,39) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barend Cornelis Koekkoek erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Late afternoon with numerous skaters by a town im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.412.000,00.
