Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Washington Bridge by Barbro Östlihn was worth EUR 27,720.00 to a buyer in May 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Daniel Cordier, Collection privée at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barbro Östlihn; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot "2-4 Ferry St. NYC" sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of SEK 540,000.00 (€ 52,674.76).

Die Arbeit Washington Bridge von Barbro Östlihn war einem Käufer im Mai 2021 EUR 27.720,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Daniel Cordier, Collection privée bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Barbro Östlihn; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit "2-4 Ferry St. NYC" im November 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von SEK 540.000,00 (€ 52.674,76).
