Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Barbara Probst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in October this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Exposure #103: N.Y.C., 401 Broadway, 12.05.12, 4:26 p.m. sold for USD 15,360.00 (€ 14,534.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barbara Probst; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Exposure #56, New York, 428 Broome Street 06.05.08 1:42 Pm. (A), 2008 sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of EUR 22,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Barbara Probst erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Exposure #103: N.Y.C., 401 Broadway, 12.05.12, 4:26 p.m. für USD 15.360,00 (€ 14.534,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Barbara Probst; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Exposure #56, New York, 428 Broome Street 06.05.08 1:42 Pm. (A), 2008 im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 22.500,00.
