Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Pregnant Woman' by Barbara Morgan for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,839.14). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barbara Morgan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Martha Graham – "Letter To The World" (Kick)', which sold at auction in April 2020 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,820.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Pregnant Woman' von Barbara Morgan für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.839,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs from the Ginny Williams Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Barbara Morgan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Martha Graham – "Letter To The World" (Kick)' beobachtet, die im April 2020 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.820,63) versteigert wurde.
