Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Martha Graham - Letter to the World by Barbara Morgan for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,507.92). This price was achieved in the auction Artist | Icon | Inspiration: Women in Photography Presented with Peter Fetterman at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Barbara Morgan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Martha Graham – "Letter To The World" (Kick)', which sold at auction in April 2020 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,820.63).
