Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Comments On Wu Daozi'S Painting, Running Script by Bao Shichen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,749.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Manuscripts in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 153,543.01).

Die Arbeit Comments On Wu Daozi'S Painting, Running Script von Bao Shichen kam im März 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.749,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Manuscripts im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 153.543,01).
