This artwork by Bao Shichen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 25,576.78) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bao Shichen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy Manuscripts in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 153,543.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Shichen erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 25.576,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bao Shichen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy Manuscripts im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 153.543,01).
