Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Prints including Pablo Picasso: Master Printmaker, Works from a Private European Collection, which included the work Kate Moss by Banksy. The price achieved of GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,698.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banksy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Love is in the Bin in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 18,582,000.00 (€ 22,014,651.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Prints including Pablo Picasso: Master Printmaker, Works from a Private European Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kate Moss von Banksy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.698,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banksy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Love is in the Bin im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.582.000,00 (€ 22.014.651,32).
