Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Beaker On A Stone Ledge, Together With Insects And A Lizard by Balthasar van der Ast. The price achieved of GBP 730,000.00 (€ 818,490.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balthasar van der Ast - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life Of Fruit And Shells With A Rose And Various Insects Upon A Stone Ledge, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 1,497,250.00 (€ 1,846,525.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Beaker On A Stone Ledge, Together With Insects And A Lizard von Balthasar van der Ast zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 730.000,00 (€ 818.490,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Balthasar van der Ast mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Still Life Of Fruit And Shells With A Rose And Various Insects Upon A Stone Ledge beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 1.497.250,00 (€ 1.846.525,06) versteigert wurde.
