Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A View On The River Skell At Studley Royal, Yorkshire, With Figures Fishing In The Foreground by Balthazar Nebot was sold in the BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 auction at Christies in London in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,496.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Balthazar Nebot - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Covent Garden Market, which sold at auction in May 2005 for GBP 66,000.00 (€ 97,436.72).

Die Arbeit A View On The River Skell At Studley Royal, Yorkshire, With Figures Fishing In The Foreground von Balthazar Nebot wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 33.496,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Balthazar Nebot mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Covent Garden Market beobachtet, die im Mai 2005 für GBP 66.000,00 (€ 97.436,72) versteigert wurde.
