In March 2018 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Dessins de la Collection Christian et Isabelle Adrien, which included the work Recto: Study Of A Prisoner And Study Of A Head Verso: Academy Study Of Two Male Figures, One Lying Down by Baldassare Franceschini. The result of EUR 20,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldassare Franceschini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 751,500.00 (€ 689,765.95).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 20.000,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baldassare Franceschini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 751.500,00 (€ 689.765,95).
