Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Studies of a kneeling man, a man with arms outspread and an angel and a putti (recto); Studies of a kneeling man (verso) by Baldassare Franceschini for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,394.28). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldassare Franceschini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 751,500.00 (€ 689,765.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Studies of a kneeling man, a man with arms outspread and an angel and a putti (recto); Studies of a kneeling man (verso) von Baldassare Franceschini für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.394,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings & Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baldassare Franceschini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 751.500,00 (€ 689.765,95).
