Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bai Xueshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. In the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 944,000.00 (€ 106,295.80) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bai Xueshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape of Li River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,485,000.00 (€ 425,603.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bai Xueshi erzielte im Oktober 2018 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 944.000,00 (€ 106.295,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bai Xueshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape of Li River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.485.000,00 (€ 425.603,21).
