Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Bai Xueshi. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,268.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bai Xueshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape of Li River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,485,000.00 (€ 425,603.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Bai Xueshi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.268,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bai Xueshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape of Li River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.485.000,00 (€ 425.603,21).
