Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Su Dongpo's Poem in Xingshu by Bai Jiao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2021. The price achieved of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 28,031.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bai Jiao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem In Xingshu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Su Dongpo's Poem in Xingshu von Bai Jiao wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 28.031,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bai Jiao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61) versteigert wurde.
