Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Orchids by Bai Jiao. The price achieved of HKD 107,100.00 (€ 12,715.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bai Jiao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poem In Xingshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchids von Bai Jiao zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 107.100,00 (€ 12.715,07) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bai Jiao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
