Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Caoshu by Bai Jiao was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,757.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 140,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bai Jiao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem In Xingshu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Caoshu von Bai Jiao wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.757,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 140.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bai Jiao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61) versteigert wurde.
