Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Orchid by Bai Jiao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,348.72) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bai Jiao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Xingshu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orchid von Bai Jiao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.348,72) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bai Jiao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61).
