This artwork by Bai Jiao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy In Xingshu sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 19,260.82) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bai Jiao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poem In Xingshu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 525,000.00 (€ 60,674.61).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bai Jiao erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Xingshu für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 19.260,82) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bai Jiao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poem In Xingshu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 525.000,00 (€ 60.674,61) versteigert wurde.
