Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Bahman Mohasses achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction, the work Les Amants (The Lovers) sold for GBP 189,000.00 (€ 223,913.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bahman Mohasses have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Minotauro sulla riva del mare in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,007,200.00 (€ 1,183,200.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bahman Mohasses erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East wurde die Arbeit Les Amants (The Lovers) für GBP 189.000,00 (€ 223.913,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bahman Mohasses auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Minotauro sulla riva del mare im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.007.200,00 (€ 1.183.200,55).
