When the work Memories of Destruction: The Years of Fire and Snow by Aydin Aghdashloo was auctioned at Christies in Dubai in October 2007, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - USD 30,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at USD 145,000.00 (€ 100,221.18). This high result makes Memories of Destruction: The Years of Fire and Snow the most expensive artwork by Aydin Aghdashloo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Als die Arbeit Memories of Destruction: The Years of Fire and Snow von Aydin Aghdashloo im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches.
