Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi, which included the work Enigma X by Aydin Aghdashloo. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 42,286.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 45,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aydin Aghdashloo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Memories of Destruction: The Years of Fire and Snow, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 145,000.00 (€ 100,221.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern & Contemporary Art, Including Masterpieces from The Collection of Dr. Mohammed Said Farsi durch, in der auch die Arbeit Enigma X von Aydin Aghdashloo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 42.286,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 45.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Aydin Aghdashloo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Memories of Destruction: The Years of Fire and Snow beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 145.000,00 (€ 100.221,18) versteigert wurde.
