Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ayan Farah could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection auction, the work The Magic Hour changed hands for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,494.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ayan Farah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Saline, which sold at auction in April 2015 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,874.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ayan Farah konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion A Place With No Name: Works from the Sina Jina Collection wechselte die Arbeit The Magic Hour für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.494,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ayan Farah mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Saline beobachtet, die im April 2015 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.874,04) versteigert wurde.
