Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Dahab (Air) by Ayan Farah for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88). This price was achieved in the auction The Hoarder Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ayan Farah achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saline in April 2015 with an auction result of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,874.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Dahab (Air) von Ayan Farah für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Hoarder Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ayan Farah erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saline im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.874,04).
