Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rumah Desa (Village House) by Awiki was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,589.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Awiki - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,557.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rumah Desa (Village House) von Awiki wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.589,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Awiki mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.557,07) versteigert wurde.
