In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Avery Singer. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 239,342.47), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avery Singer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Happening in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,253,000.00 (€ 4,895,163.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Avery Singer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 239.342,47) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avery Singer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Happening im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.253.000,00 (€ 4.895.163,54).
