Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young boy, profile right, in coat, knotted cravat, holding a book; together with a silhouette of a gentleman, profile right, by Hubard Gallery (British, 1822-circa 1845), the reverse stamped with trade label no. 5; and seven various silhouettes (En by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2009. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,093.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00.
