In the Early British Drawings, Watercolours and Portrait Miniatures auction, the work Portrait Of Nicholas Paganini (1784-1840) sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 7,877.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Augustin Amant Constant Fidèle Edouart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Album Of Silhouettes Of ‘Irish Characters' in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 40,992.72).
