Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le chien devant la cheminée by Auguste Chabaud was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in Paris in July 2021. It changed hands for a price of EUR 2,772.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Chabaud achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme À L'Étole De Fourrure in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 118,348.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le chien devant la cheminée von Auguste Chabaud wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 2.772,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Chabaud erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme À L'Étole De Fourrure im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 118.348,80).
