Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Petrification II 63.8 x 76.4 cm. (25 1/8 x 30 in.) by Aubrey Williams was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 6,674.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Aubrey Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Orinoco I, which sold at auction in March last year for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21).

Die Arbeit Petrification II 63.8 x 76.4 cm. (25 1/8 x 30 in.) von Aubrey Williams kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 6.674,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Aubrey Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Orinoco I beobachtet, die im März letzten Jahres für GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.914,21) versteigert wurde.
