Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carib Ritual (6) by Aubrey Williams was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art and Photography from Africa and the Diaspora auction at Bonhams in New York in July last year. The price achieved of USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,747.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Aubrey Williams have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March last year the work Orinoco I was auctioned for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21).
