In November 2019 Christies in London held the auction Modern | British Art, which included the work Guyana X by Aubrey Williams. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,935.61) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Aubrey Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Orinoco I in March last year with an auction result of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,914.21).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern | British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Guyana X von Aubrey Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.935,61) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aubrey Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Orinoco I im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.914,21).
