Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Untitled (Airplanes, Cactus Plants On The Window) by Asim Abu Shakra. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 9,793.86). Admittedly, works by Asim Abu Shakra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Neckties in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 75,644.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Airplanes, Cactus Plants On The Window) von Asim Abu Shakra zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 9.793,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Asim Abu Shakra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Neckties im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 75.644,73).
