Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cactus by Asim Abu Shakra was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2011. It changed hands for a price of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,906.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Asim Abu Shakra - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Neckties, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 75,644.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cactus von Asim Abu Shakra kam im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.906,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Asim Abu Shakra mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Neckties beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 75.644,73) versteigert wurde.
