Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cactus by Asim Abu Shakra was sold in the 20th Century Art / Middle East auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. It changed hands for a price of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 49,402.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Other works by Asim Abu Shakra have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2015 the work Neckties was auctioned for USD 81,250.00 (€ 75,644.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cactus von Asim Abu Shakra wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 49.402,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Asim Abu Shakra konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2015 die Arbeit Neckties für USD 81.250,00 (€ 75.644,73) versteigert.
