Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Die Maske Des Bosen (The Mask Of Evil) by Asim Abu Shakra. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,394.74) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Asim Abu Shakra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Neckties in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 75,644.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Die Maske Des Bosen (The Mask Of Evil) von Asim Abu Shakra zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.394,74) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Asim Abu Shakra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Neckties im März 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 75.644,73).
