Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Arup Das for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,685.45). This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arup Das - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Village), which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,699.32).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Arup Das für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.685,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Arup Das mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Village) beobachtet, die im März 2019 für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.699,32) versteigert wurde.
